Input device for physically disabled people

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an input device on which even a person who is handicapped on the hand performs key input by providing a simple input device which has keys operated orally and an input display device which displays input data from the device. CONSTITUTION:When the simple input device 1 is put in the mouth and a line key 11 is pressed with teeth, etc., a light emitting device 21 for line confirmation at a position corresponding to the number of times of depression illuminates on the input display device 2. The line position is confirmed and a digit key 12 is pressed. Then a light emitting element 22 for digit confirmation at a position corresponding to the number of times of depression illuminates and the light emitting element 23 of a character plate 24 at the intersection of the line and digit illuminates the specified character or symbol. The upper-case or lower-case mode is specified with a shift key 15. When the illuminated character needs to be inputted, a key-in key 13 is pressed. Then the code of the character is transmitted to a terminal equipment body and an FNT key 14 is pressed to input the code.
