Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To relieve defects where a raw line is disconnected at its middle point by driving the row line with a pulse signal supplied from the side opposite to a row decoder. CONSTITUTION:A switch 21 connected to a row line 12 having disconnection after production is energized. Thus an row address signal is supplied to a row decoder 14 and said line 12 is driven at its single end by the decoding output of the decoder 14. Then the line 12 is driven at its end of the other side by the pulse signal phi produced from a pulse generating circuit 20 via the circuit 21 kept under a conduction state. Thus all memory cells 11 connected to the line 12 are selected. This can relieve defects due to the disconnection of the line 12.
