Antistatic film or sheet

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:The titled film which can maintain an excellent antistatic effect over a long period of time and is colorable in red, blue, etc., obtained by laminating a thermoplastic resin layer and a specified antistatic coating layer one upon another on a non-rigid vinyl chloride resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A layer (of a thickness of about 0.5-4mum) of a thermoplastic resin such as acrylic or polyester is laminated on a non-rigid vinyl chloride resin film, on which a layer (of a thickness of about 0.5-4mum) of an antistatic coating comprising 100pts.wt. resin binder (e.g. a resin commonly used for coating, such as a thermoplastic resin) and 70-350pts.wt. white or gray, conductive powders (e.g. zinc oxide powders doped with aluminum) is laminated to form the antistatic film (sheet). This film is suitable for use as a curtain in a clean room, etc. and a packaging material for IC products.
