Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To accurately read the position of the original to be read by determining the start up timing of reading of an image sensor based on the output signal of the second sensor to detect the original located between a paper- supplying means and the image sensor. CONSTITUTION:The first original detecting sensor S1 located in the preceding stage of a paper-supplying roller 10 to detect the insertion of the original to the said roller 10, the second original detecting sensor S2 located between the roller 10 and the image sensor 1 to detect the original supplied, and the third original detecting sensor S3 located in the succeeding stage of the sensor 1 to detect the original delivered, are provided. The outputs from the sensors S1-S3 are supplied to a control part CPU which controls a motor 13 and the sensor 1 to transfer the read data to a computer COM. With the titled device with such constitution as the above, the sensor 2 detects the original being supplied at a constant speed, and the reading of the image of the original is started by making use of the timing from the said sensor. Therefore, the read- start-up position on the original is made accurate.
