Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the radiation efficiency by increasing/decreasing the cross- sectional area of an antenna element in response to the increase/decrease in the current amplitude so as to reduce the conductor resistance of the antenna element. CONSTITUTION:A feeding point 3 is provided to a part of a thin plate antenna element 2 installed on a window panel 1. Then the cross-sectional area of the element 2 vertical to the shortest line connecting the feeding point 3 and the end of the element 2 is increased/decreased in response to the increase/decrease of the current amplitude of a reception wave distributed on the element 2. Thus, the conductor resistance of the element 2 is reduced under the condition that the volume, resistivity and the length of the element 2 is made constant.
