Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance and to remove jamming recording paper easily by constituting the main body of an electrophotographic copying machine in a dividable state, and mounting an image forming means in a main body frame detachably. CONSTITUTION:The main machine body 1 is dividable into a lower frame 2 and an upper frame 3; the lower frame 2 is equipped with a paper feed cassette 10, paper feed guide 14, corona chargers 17 and 18 for transfer and separation, fixing roller 22, paper discharge tray, etc., the frame 3 is equipped with a toner hopper 30, motor 31, platen 33, exposure lamp 34, etc., and an intermediate frame 6 is equipped detachably with a magnetic brush developing device 40 and the image forming unit 41 formed by unitizing a photosensitive drum 5. The upper frame 8 and intermediate frame 6 are turned hopped up with a support shaft 4 as a fulcrum to form space along a paper feeding path, thereby removing jamming paper without damaging the photosensitive drum.
