Independent suspension for vehicles
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To aim at improvements in steering stability as setting a suspension down to a roll under-steering state in time of rainy weather, by making a setting point of an inner end of a front lateral link so as to be shifted to a lower part and/or the setting point of the inner end of a rear lateral link to an upper part, respectively. CONSTITUTION:An independent suspension for real wheel use in a front drive vehicle is provided with a strut 2 extending in a vertical direction, a radial rod 3 extending in a longitudinal direction and a pair of lateral links 4 and 5 extending in each lateral direction to be set up in the longitudinal direction of a car bodt at intervals. And, inside cylindrical members 12 and 14 at an inner end of these front and rear links 4 and 5, each cylindrical rubber bush 16 having a pair or empty spaces 17a and 17b opposed with each other in a diametral direction is fitly installed. Likewise, a solenoid valve 23 having a solenoid 32 being energized according to an output signal out of a weather sensor 34 including a wiper switch or the like is installed. And, a discharge port 28 of the solenoid valve 23 is interconnected to the lower side empty space 17b and the upper side empty space 17a of each rubber bush 16 of these front and rear links 4 and 5, respectively.
