Valve suspending device in engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment of a tappet by branching and forming a fluid inlet port through a changeover valve in the intermediate of a passage of fluid to an actuator which switches a state wherein a pair of valves are opened and closed and a state wherein only one valve is actuated and another is suspended. CONSTITUTION:A pair of at least one of suction and exhaust valves are provided with respect to each cylinder, and one 51, for example, of the pair of rocker arms 51 and 52, which open and close a pair of valves, is provided so that the rocker arm 52 can be engaged with or disengaged from another rocker arm by means of a fluid actuator 10. A fluid passage 15 leading to the fluid actuator 10, is switched and connected to a flow-in passage 16 or an exhaust passage 17 by means of a control valve 13 having a spool valve 18. Further, in the intermediate of the exhaust passage 17 is branched therefrom a fluid inlet port 21. At a branched part 22 is provided a changeover valve 24 which cuts off communication between a half part 17a on one side of the exhaust passage 17 and a half part 17b on another side thereof and communicate the inlet port 21 with the half part 17a.
