Production of porous body

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a porous body having a respectively controlled small pore diameter and high porosity, by forming a molded article from a resin extractable with a specific solvent and a resin unextractable therewith, bringing the resultant molded article into contact with the solvent, and extracting one of the resins. CONSTITUTION:At least two resins consisting of one resin extractable selectively with a specific solvent and at least one resin unextractable with the above-mentioned solvent are kneaded and melted under heating to form a molded article, e.g. a film or hollow fiber, which is then brought into contact with the solvent to extract the resin extractable selectively with the solvent. The combination of the resins and the solvent is as follows; Toluene for polypropylene and polyethylene; methylene chloride for polypropylene and polymethyl methcrylate, etc. The content of the resins is 40-60vol% one of them to be mixed.
