Picture color separating system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To recognize easily an original picture containing handwritten color and to decrease the data quantity by obtaining hue data from picture element signals obtained by scanning the original picture to collate it with each information and allocating corresponding colors on a designated distribution diagram to produce picture. CONSTITUTION:The original picture 1 is separated by a scanner 2 and filter 3 of a picture color separation system into red R, green G and blue B. These separated colors are fetched as the picture data 4. This fetched entire screen data is converted into a conversion picture data 6 by a matrix arithmetic device 5. This data 6 is processed by an arithmetic device 7. The device 7 processes a luminance signal Y and values of color difference data U and V. Then a color distribution of the entire original picture is converted into a color frequency distribution picture 8 on a chroma plane where data U and V defined as a vertical X and a horizontal axis Y respectively. Then a picture 12 obtained after color separation is delivered onto a display from a color separation map 11. This facilitate the easy recognition of an original picture containing handwritten colors.
