Selection control device for four-wheel drive vehicle

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically select four-wheel drive at starting, rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration and occurrence of slippage, by supplying each signal of rotational speeds of front and rear wheels, depression of accelerator and brake pedals and shift position to a control device to decide a running condition. CONSTITUTION:An automatic selecting switch 38 is connected in parallel to a two/four-wheel drive selecting switch 36. There are provided as an input means a front-wheel rotation sensor 40 for detecting a rotational speed of front wheels, a rear-wheel rotation sensor 41 for detecting a rotational speed of rear wheels, an acceleration switch 43 for detecting depression of an accelerator pedal 42, a brake switch 45 for detecting depression of a brake pedal 44, and an inhibitor swich 46 mounted at a select level 35 for detecting each position of N and P. Each of the sensors and switches is connectd through a control unit 47 to the automatic selecting switch 38.
