Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To efficiently decompose and digest a waste liquid, in a process for subjecting the waste liquid, to which acid producing treatment has been applied, to digestion treatment on the basis of methane producing treatment, by returning a part of sludge generated by methane producing treatment to a part of raw water. CONSTITUTION:An org. waste liquid 18 is sent into an acid producing treatment tank 19 to be subjected to anaerobic acid producing treatment. The sludge- mixed liquid 20 generated by this treatment is subjected to solid-liquid separation and the obtained separated liquid 23 is sent into a methane producing treatment tank 26 to be subjected to methane producing treatment. In the next step, a part of sludge 29 generated by this treatment is returned to the aforementioned waste liquid 18. The org. acid in the waste liquid is decomposed during acid producing treatment. By this method, the formation of the org. acid is promoted by the decomposition of the org. substance in the waste liquid which is, in turn, efficiently decomposed and digested.
