Preparation of propylene polymer
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polymer having improved original physical properties, and improved molding and processing properties, by carrying out propylene polymerization by a specific three-stage process by the use of a catalyst consisting of a Ti-containing solid catalytic component and an organoaluminum compound. CONSTITUTION:In the first place propylene or it and another olefin are polymerized by the use of a catalyst consisting essentially of a Ti-containing solid catalytic component and an organoaluminum compound in the presence of hydrogen (preferably 0.3-5mol hydrogen concentration), the hydrogen concentration is made 1.5 times as much as that of the first reaction, preferably 3-30mol hydrogen concentration, and the second-stage polymerization is carried out. Hydrogen in the polymerizer is eliminated, feed of hydrogen is stopped, and the third-stage polymerization is carried out in a state free from hydrogen, to give the desired polymer. EFFECT:Causing neither fish eye nor rough surface.
