Liquid level sensor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a turdy liquid level sensor with a high sensitivity which enables a stable measurement by providing a sound shield below a case which houses a vibrator comprising a metal sheet having a piezoelectric body stuck thereon at a space to bring an elastic sheet into contact with a liquid. CONSTITUTION:Sensor cases 1 and 2 are screwed together and a peripheral end 4a of a bottomed cylindrical body 4 is pressed securely between the circular rim 1a at the tip of the case 1 and a tube end of the case 2 through an O ring 3. A piezoelectric body 6 is fastened on the top side of the bottom of the cylindrical body 4 comprising an elastic sheet and a vibrator 7 is made up of the piezoelectric body 6 and the elastic sheet (the cylindrical body 4). The wall surface 9 of a liquid container is fixed on a flange 8 of the case 1 with a nut 8. A sound shielding plate 11 is fixed on a plurality of support rods 10 fastened on the circular rim 1a of the case 1. A variation signal of a resonance impedance at a liquid level sensor section A contacting the liquid E is fed to a detection circuit B through a lead 12 from the piezeoelectric body 6 thereby detecting the liquid level with a high sensitivity.
