Printing color selecting method for color printer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make uniform exudation of an ink and prolong the useful life of the entire body of impregnated members, by a method wherein faced positions of a printing head and each of impregnated members are selected at random in a selected color each time of turning-ON a power source, and thereafter the setting position in the selected color is sequentially changed. CONSTITUTION:A controlling circuit 6 comprising a micro-computer receives printing information from a personal computer 7 or the like, and controls the drives of each printing wire driving solenoid incorporated in an impact-type printing head 3, a head-driving motor 8, a color-selecting motor 9, a paper-feeding motor 10 or the like. In addition, the circuit 6 comprises a random number generator, so that each time a power source is turned-ON at the time of starting to control the printer, a setting position for each of sections asigned with symbols N10-N70 or a setting position for other section is selected at random for each of the impregnated members 2 on the basis of the random number signal.
