Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain counting and delivery of a required number of articles so as as to cope with the tendency of delivery in a variety of sizes in small amounts by providing means for retrieving the stock position of the articles to be delivered and means for counting and delivering the predetermined number of articles from the stock position. CONSTITUTION:A rotary moving frame 1 receives multi-stages of conveying cages 2, each of the stages including a plurality of conveying cages 2 disposed in parallel to one another. The conveying cage 2 is open at its front and upper surfaces and closd at both sides, bottom and rear surfaces. There is provided adjacent to the moving frame 1 a conveying arm 3 for conveying articles into and out of the conveying cages 2 in each stage. The conveying arm 3 has a cylindrical pole 3b supported at the lower end by a base plate 3a and a moving frame 3c mounted to the pole 3b and having a gripper 3d. The moving frame 1 and the conveying arm 3 are relatively controlled by a computer 4. Observing a CRT 6, an operator assures, according to production information from an information input unit 5, the address of the stock position of the articles in the conveying cage 2 and, counting the number, brings in and out the articles by the conveying arm 3.
