Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To record an image of a good color balance and to improve the smooth operation of a video camera by displaying the insertion/shunt situation of a color temperature conversion filter into the viewfield of a viewfinder and then displaying an alarm within the viewfield to the improper insertion/shunt situation of the conversion filter. CONSTITUTION:Some of signals sent from a color temperature detection circuit 1 of a video camera display device is supplied to an input 3 of a comparator 2. While the voltage corresponding to the outdoor temperature is supplied to an input 4 of the comparator 2. When the voltage applied to the input 3 is lower than the voltage corresponding to the outdoor temperature, an output is supplied to an exclusive OR element 9. The insertion/shunt situation of a color temperature conversion filter 6 detected by a switch 5 is supplied to the other side of the element 9. Then a transistor TR10 is controlled by the output of the element 9 to turn on a light emitting diode F6. The white balance control is performed in response to a color temperature. Thus an image of a good color balance is recorded.
