Optical reader
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate an array of elements of adjacent 1-dimensional photosensors and to simplify the assembly of an optical reader, by overlapping the viewfields of both photosensors before an original is read and dividing and composing the read ranges of both sensors by means of a marker set within a range of the double viewfield. CONSTITUTION:The 1-dimensional image sensors 22a and 22b are set adjacently to an optical reader, and the image pickup results obtained by each element of both sensors 22a and 22b are supplied to the 1st and 2nd read circuits 31a and 31b respectively. The read information equivalent to a signal scan is supplied to the 1st and 2nd position detecting circuits 32a and 32b from circuits 31a and 31b. Then the viewfields of both sensors are put on each other before an original is read by the reader, and a marker is put within a range of said double viewfield. The read ranges of both sensors 22a and 22b are divided by the marker, and these divided picture signals are composed by a picture signal composing circuit 33. This facilitates the array of the elements of both sensors to each other and simplifies the assembly of the optical reader.
