Disk for preventing seizure in pipe manufacturing
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a titled disk capable of preventing the flaw generating in the outer surface of a product pipe and improving operating efficiency by forming a nonmetallic film on the surface of a disk used for manufacturing a pipe for the purpose of preventing the metallic contact between the pipe and the disk. CONSTITUTION:A nonmetallic film such as an oxide one is previously formed on the outer peripheral surface of a disk 1 (disk for metallic pipe manufacturing) which is brought into contact with a pipe 3 for forming the pipe 3 to be rolled by a rolling roll 2, to prevent seizure by preventing the metallic contact between the pipe 3 and the disk 1 from the time of starting of rolling by using them. In this way, the generation of flaw in the surface of rolled pipe 3 is prevented, and the operating efficiency is not lowered. It is preferable to regulate the thickness of said nonmetallic film to 0.1-60mum.
