Reading and writing device of plate-shaped memory medium

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To always set a plate-shaped memory medium at a fixed position with no play regardless of the thickness of the memory medium by increasing the depth of a container for said memory medium and also providing a plate spring into the container. CONSTITUTION:A card container 3 is opened, and the tip of a thin IC card is pushed into a pocket member 6 having thickness T larger than a plate-shaped memory medium. Then an IC card (e) is pressed by a surface plate 5 to reach a holder member 9 while sliding on the surface of a plate spring 7. Thus the card (e) is set at a fixed position with a press-contact secured to the plate 5 regardless of the thickness of the card. Under such conditions, the container 3 is pressed downward against the force of a spring 4 and therefore pins 12, 12... of a contact block 14 are pressed down with contacts with the card contacts. Then the front side of the card is pushed inside along a sloping surface 17a of position control members 17, and the card is further pushed inside with a contact with the member 9. Then a pin 19 interlocks a heart lever 20, and the container 3 is locked by a base 1. At the same time, a limit switch 21 is turned on to complete the loading the memory medium.
