Power transmission device for 4-wheel drive car

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve durability of each constitution part, by a method wherein a differential gear for front wheels and an intermediate differential gear are supported by a first and a second gear mount case, respectively, and the first and the second ring gear mount case are supported by the case of a transmission and a transfer case. CONSTITUTION:A differential device 58 for front wheel is supported by a first ring mount case 56, and an intermediate differential device 80 by a second ring mount case 78. The ring gear mount case 56 is supported by a case 38 of a transmission 22 and the ring gear mount case 78 by a transfer case 76. This improves support rigidity, resulting in the possibility to sufficiently ensure durability of each constitution part. Further, this enables the vibration level of a power transmission device to form a low vibration level.
