Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To raise the shelf life and decrease the deterioration due to deletion and regeneration possible, by a method wherein the light absorption electrode layer has the layer composed of phthalocyanine and the liquid crystal is of high molecular liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:The substrate is composed of glass, various resins such as acryl, polycarbonate, etc., various photosensitive resins, various metals, etc., and the electrode layer is formed on its surface. This electrode layer possesses both functions of electrode layer and light absorption layer and phthalocyanine is used for the light absorption agent. The liquid crystal is of high molecular liquid crystal and the high molecular liquid crystal has liquid crystal group as principal chain or side chain. Its mean molecular weight is 500min. Thereby, the shelf life is extremely raised and the deterioration due to deletion and regeneration is strikingly decreased. Then, the recording sensitivity and the S/N ratio of reading out are raised, too.
