Transmission power control system of earth station of satellite communication

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To always compensate most suitably attenuation due to rainfall by varying a maximum value of the overall output level to be fixed of a transmitter in accordance with variance of the number of channels. CONSTITUTION:The first transmission power control circuit 8 for compensating attenuation due to rainfall detects conditions of a transmission line 6 and variance of the attenuation quantity in the transmission side by reception signal input of a receiver 4 and outputs a control signal for compensation of this variance to a synthesizer 11. Meanwhile, the second transmission power control circuit 10 outputs a control signal, which fixes a maximum value of the output level of a transmitter 3, to a corrector 14. A line controller 13 outputs quantity information of used channels to the corrector 14. Consequently, the corrector 14 corrects said maximum level control signal in accordance with variance of the quantity of channels. The synthesizer 11 synthesizes the signal of the first control circuit 8 and the signal from the corrector 14 and outputs the result to a variable level device 2. The variable level device 2 varies the maximum level of the transmitter 3 on a basis of the output of the synthesizer 11.
