Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To perform excellent fixation regardless of the kind of transfer paper by switching the ability in fixation according to difference in paper feed mode wherein transfer paper in use is different in kind possibly. CONSTITUTION:When the copying machine is powered on, the heater in a fixing roller is fed with electricity to heat up to stand-by temperature T3. Then, this state is held until a copy button is pressed. When the copy button is pressed, the heater is powered on again to raise fixation temperature. Paper feed timing is delayed by t'4 and the fixation temperature is set to T1 for transfer paper of specific thickness fed from a cassette. Transfer paper which is thick like a postcard and requires the large ability in fixation is used possibly in manual insertion paper feed mode, so the paper feed timing is delayed (t4) and the fixation temperature is raised up to high temperature T2.
