Method for preparing discriminating reference for color discrimination

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prepare a discriminating reference for color discrimination automatically by a computer, by using the deviation value of the relative value of a color component, operating the deviation value in the higher order, repeating the extraction and setting processing, and securing the discrimination distance of the twice or more. CONSTITUTION:A color sensor 2 includes detecting parts 3-5, which independently detect a red component R, a green component G and a blue component B of reflected light, respectively. In front of the light receiving surfaces of three photoelectric conversion elements, narrow-band color filters, which pass the wavelengths of the colors R, G and B, are provided, respectively. The detected signals of the detecting parts 3-5 are amplified by amplifiers 6 and converted into digital quantities by A/D converters 7. The digital signals are inputted to a CPU10 through an input control circuit 8. The preparation of a color discrimination reference and the color discrimination processing are performed by the CPU 10. The results are outputted through an output control device 14. The operation of the relative value of the color component is conducted by computing the ratio between the values expressing the color components and the total sum of these values. In the meantime, it is desirable that the discrimination distance is twice or more.
