Cyclohexenylacetamide derivative, its preparation and herbicide

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (Y is lower alkyl; m is 0-2; R<1> and R<2> are H or lower alkyl; X is halogen; n is 1 or 2). EXAMPLE:N-(2-Chlorobenzyl)-2-(4-methylcyclohexen-1-yl)propionamide. USE:Herbicide free from the phytotoxicity to the valuable crops such as paddy rice plant, and usable as a herbicide for the directly sowed paddy rice plant. In addition to the above, it can be used as a herbicide for the initial treatment of paddy field, and the treatment of the fields of various grains, green vegetables, as well as orchard, lawn, pasture, tea plantation, mulberry plantation, rubber plantation, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting the cyclohexenylacetic acid derivative of formula II or its reactive derivative (e.g. acid anhydride) with benzylamine of formula .
