Immobilization method for physiologically active substances
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To immobilize the titled substance in a large amount to be immobilized with certainty, by dissolving a polyfunctional reagent in an acetic acid buffer solution having an adjusted molar concentration, pH value and ionic strength, reacting the polyfunctional reagent with chitosan in the above-mentioned solution, and adding the physiologically active substance thereto. CONSTITUTION:A normal salt, e.g. NaCl, is added to an acetic acid buffer solution within 0.05-0.20mol concentration range and a pH value within the range of the formula to adjust the ionic strength to 0.3-1.0. A polyfunctional reagent, e.g. glutaraldehyde, is then dissolved in the resultant solution and reacted with chitosan in the above-mentioned solution. A physiologically active substance, e.g. blood serum albumin, is then added thereto and immobilized on chitosan as a carrier.
