Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To perform high-precision calibration by using a graphic pattern in a specific shape as a reference of calibration, and regarding its center of gravity as a reference point. CONSTITUTION:The center of gravity of two circles 1a and 1b is calculated by calculating the centers of gravity of the respective circles 1a and 1b during calibration using the two circles 1a and 1b. In this case, centers O' and O'' of gravity of, for example, the right circle 1b which are converted into binary values at different threshold levels are almost the same as far as the circle is much larger than a picture element to be coded into a binary value. Therefore, the center P' of gravity calculated from the centers of gravity of the two circles 1a and 1b is accurate.
