Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To use a printing hammer efficiently and improve printing speed of a dot line printer without increasing vibration of a shuttle mechanism, by a method wherein rotation of an eccentric cam is converted from constant angular velocity into non-constant angular velocity so that it is rotated rapidly at the printing region and slowly at the turning region. CONSTITUTION:In a dot line printer comprising a hammer bank 10 having a printing means, a reciprocation moving means including a cam mechanism for moving it in reciprocation, a motor 40 for driving to rotate the reciprocation moving means, and a motor control means for controlling the motor 40, the reciprocation moving speed near the turning point becomes rapid in comparison to the reciprocation moving speed of the hammer bank 10 obtained by the constant angular velocity rotation of the cam shaft disposed in the cam mechanism. At the same time, the motor 40 is driven by the motor control means 81 and the rotation angular velocity of the cam shaft is made non-constant so that velocity near the center portion becomes slow.
