Screen plate fabricating apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To extend the life of a thermal head by reducing power applied to the thermal head and to shorten a plate making time, by providing a means for heating the surface of a plate material in the side of a platen to a temp. equal to or less than the m.p. of said plate material. CONSTITUTION:A heat generator 5 is provided in a platen 2 and heats the platen 2. In plate making, the back surface 4B of a plate material 4 is heated to a temp. equal to or less than the m.p. of a heat-shrinkable resin constituting said plate material 4 by the heat from the heat generator 5. When the heating resistor 1A of a thermal head 1 is energized in this state, the back surface 4A of the plate material 4 can reach the m.p. more fastly as compared with a not-preheated state. Therefore, power supplied to the thermal head can be reduced.
