Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To record and reproduce fine voices in plural channels without complexing the constitution of video by switching a recording signal in accordance with the switching of a mode and recording sound signals on the plural channels by herical scanning method. CONSTITUTION:When the mode is switched by a recording mode setting switch 24, sound FM recording circuits 15-17 having different carrier frequency are activated in stead of a recording video signal processing circuit 2 and multi- channel sound signals are finely and multiplexly recorded in stead of the video signal at a practically high tape travelling speed by the herical scanning method through a recording amplifier 3, a rotary head 4, etc. These sound signals are reproduced also similarly, so that the sounds in the plural channels can be finely recorded and reproduced without complexing the mechanism of video of 8mm. system or the like.
