Support device for disk-shaped recording media

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent a disc from the generation of undulation and to interpose the disc with high planeness by arranging a spacer for regulating expansion in the surface direction between core caps interposing a disc between them and an elastic body. CONSTITUTION:The spacer 9 to be a solid body such as a metallic plate forming a mesh-like uneven surface 9a on its abutted surface is arranged between the elastic body 8 such as rubber and the disc-like recording medium 5. A recording medium 5 is put on a metallic plate 6a of a core body, the spacer 9 and the elastic body 8 are arranged on the medium 5 and the core cap 7 is pressed in the P direction. The cap 7 and the projected part 6b are fused and welded to hold the medium with pressure. Since the spacer 9 to be a solid body exists, the elastic body 8 is prevented from expansion rectangular to the contracting direction. Therefore, the recording medium 5 is prevented from the generation of undulation or the like and the medium 5 can be held with high planeness.
