Detergent composition for metal

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the sticking of steel plates to each other by treating previously the plate with a detergent contg. an alkaline base material, a surfactant, and a specified organic compd. in box-annealing a tight coil of cold rolled steel plate. CONSTITUTION:When a tight coil of cold rolled steel plates is box-annealed, the coil is treated by the detergent composition to prevent the sticking by baking, etc. of contacting steel plates to each other and the decrease in yield of the product. Said detergent composition contains 60-90% mixture of sodium orthosilicate and caustic soda in 1-0.3 ratio of Na2O/SiO2 as an alkaline base material, 0.5-5% surfactant added with 9mol nonylphenolethylene oxide, and 0.1-10% >=1 kind among Na salt of condensate of naphthalene sulfonate and formalin expressed by formula ( I ), alkali metal salt of 2-acrylamidoethane sulfonate expressed by formula (II), and sodium polysulfide expressed by formula (III).
