Operating apparatus for front side mirror of automotive vehicle
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent unexpected accidents by making a front side mirror movable in fore-and-aft direction, whereby safety on both right and left sides can be fully confirmed when an automotive vehicle is driven out of a building, a crossroads, a garage and the like. CONSTITUTION:A front side mirror 7 mounted on a bonnet or a front fender of an automotive vehicle is provided with a lamp 8 at an upper part thereof and a pole 9 at a lower part thereof. The side mirror 7 is movable back and forth in a telescopic connecting cylinder 13, namely, moves back and forth by the movement of an elastic belt 4 driven by means of a driving device 15 and wound round in a spring form. An alarm buzzer 17 is also equipped. The front side mirror 7 is moved forward by actuating the driving device 15 by the operation of a switch button in a driver's compartment, at a T-roads and the like where the visibility is bad. Thus, the visual confirmation is sufficiently achieved and accidents can be prevented.
