Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To allow a telephone call at an optional position by modulating a radio signal transmitted by a main modulator fitted to a master telephone set and demodulating a radio signal received by a main demodulator, and adding similar functions to a movable slave telephone set. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone set is not in use, the handset is put off the telephone set and placed on the hook of a main modulator and demodulator, and the telephone set is placed in the on-hook state through plungers 13. When there is an external call signal, the microphone 1 of a modulator (a) detects it and an incorporated high frequency oscillator is modulated with a bell tone to transmit a signal from an antenna 6. The radio wave is received and demodulated by the antenna 44 of a slave demodulator and modulator (b) to announce that through a speaker 47. A user turns on a switch 45 and a control signal is generated by an incorporated oscillator and transmitted from the antenna 44; and the plungers 13 are lifted to set the telephone set in the speech state. The microphone 1 of the modulator (a) and the speaker 7 couples with the handset acoustically to allow a talk through the speaker 47 and microphone 40 of a modulator (b), thereby facilitating the movement of the slave telephone set.
