Anti-vibration device with liquid sealed in
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make the dynamic spring constant and damping coefficient of an anti- vibration device large in a vibration-restricting region and make them small in a vibration-preventing region, by displacing a movable wall so that the cross-sectional area of a passage defined by two openings is small in the vibration-restricting region of the anti-vibration device having two fluid chambers and is large in its vibration-preventing region. CONSTITUTION:In a vibration-restricting region, an electrical current is applied by the output signal of a controller 12 to make a south pole by a magnetic field. As a result, a rotary wall 6 is turned in such a direction that a coil 8 and an open end 61a approach each other and the coil moves away from another end 61b. In that state, a passage defined by two openings 41a, 6a is narrow and a sealed fluid receives a high resistance while flowing to a fluid chamber B because of the deformation of another fluid chamber A under vibration, so that the coefficient of damping is made large, the pressure in the fluid chamber A rises and the spring constant becomes large. In a vibration-preventing region, an electrical current is applied to make a north pole by a magnetic field. As a result, the rotary wall 6 is turned in such a direction that the coil 8 and the open end 61a move away from each other and another end 61b approaches the coil. In that state, the passage is wide, so that the damping coefficient is small, the pressure in the chamber A is low and the spring constant is small.
