Waveform display device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make the moving speed of a display position relative to a display means roughly constant in the stage of controlling the magnified and displayed waveform or the display position of a cursor by magnifying the displayed waveform. CONSTITUTION:A signal waveform is displayed on a CRT 32, and CPU 58 performs process, judgement, etc. according to the program in an ROM 60. If the display is magnified, the CPU 58 determines the ratio of the magnification and sets a moving speed according to the ratio. A moving key for the displayed waveform or the display position of a cursor is pushed to move the same by a prescribed extent. The counter function of the CPU58 is subtracted by one and the operation is repeated until the content in the counter is made to zero. Whether a cursor mode is set or not is judged. As the moving speed value is larger, the longer time is required until the value of the counter is made to zero and the moving speed of the display device relative to the signal waveform is lower. Since the moving speed value corresponds to the ratio of the magnification, the moving speed of the display position with respect to the CRT 32 is roughly constant and the display position is easily set.
