Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To decrease the capacity of a field memory storing a picture element data of a color difference signal by writing a picture element data of two kinds of color difference signals in zig-zag form at the interval of several picture elements and reading out alternately the two kinds of the color difference signals at each line at the field reproduction. CONSTITUTION:A signal recorded on a disc 1 is reproduced by a pickup at a pickup circuit 2 as the change in the optical intensity or change in the static capacity. The reproducing signal extracted from the pickup circuit 2 is FM-modulated by an FM modulator 3 and applied to a decoder 4. The decoder 4 DA- converts a digital audio signal into an analog audio signal to an output terminal 5 and outputs a digital video signal to a luminance signal field memory 6 and a color difference signal field memory 7. The luminance signal picture element data of the digital video signal from the decoder 4 is selected and written in the memory 6 by a write control signal from a memory controller 8.
