Heat exchanger made of aluminum alloy
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the anticorrosive property of a part of a pipe plate coming into contact with circulating cooling water by a method wherein a composite plate comprising a core material of an Al alloy including specific components and a surface material is used as the pipe plate of the Al alloy heat exchanger for an automobile radiator. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the Al alloy heat exchanger, the pipe plate 2 is formed of the composite plate comprising the core material made of an Al alloy consisting of Cu (0.2-0.8wt%), Mu (0.1-0.8wt%), one or more than two of Mg (0.1-0.5wt%) and Si (0.1-0.6wt%) as essential components, Cr (0.01-0,3wt%), Z (0.01-0.3wt%) and Al and usual impurities for the rest and the surface materal whose one side surface is applied with a brazing material and which comprises an A/ alloy consisting of Ca (0.005-0.2wt%), Fe and Si (a total of less than 0.5wt%) and Al for the rest. The surface material forms itself the inner surface of a water chamber. The composite plate is formed by a press shaping process and is fixed to a water pipe 1 to thereby provide the pipe plate comprising the outer brazing material 7 and the core material of Al-Ca alloy which forms the inner surface thereof. The pipe plate is then connected to a resin tank 5 mechanically through O-rings.
