Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To record a color original with high speed and high resolution by reading out a signal plural CCDs by using one end of the CCDs as a reference. CONSTITUTION:A CCD chip 21a consists of a dummy area 41, 6-bit black reference light shield area, 1,908-bit of effective reading area 42, and a dummy area 44. The light shield area is bits shielding the light of a photodetector and an output from this area has a reference voltage being a voltage attended to a dark current. The CCD21a is driven by using a 2-phase clock, a scanning synchronizing signal, reset signal and an output signal, and its output signal is A/D- converted to a form suitable for picture information by an analog processing circuit including the correcting section and an integrating part. This output signal is formed into a suitable signal for the recording of a recorder by a digital processing system.
