Preparation of reactive resin
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a reactive resin, capable of giving cured articles having improved heat, moisture, chemical resistance, etc., and useful as electrical insulating materials, corrosionproof materials, etc., by reacting a specific monoisocyanate containing a double bond with a polycarboxylic acid and a polyol. CONSTITUTION:(A) A monoisocyanate containing a double bond of formulas I and/or II (R1 is monofunctional organic group having a polymerizable double bond; R2 is difunctional organic group) is reacted with (B) a polycarboxylic acid, e.g. (iso)phthalic acid, adipic acid or polyacrylic acid, and/or a polyol, e.g. (di)ethylene glycol, trimethylolpropane or bisphenol epoxy resin, preferably at 1:(1-1.5) equivalent ratio between the component (A) and COOH or OH groups in the component (B) to afford the aimed resin. The component (A) is obtained by reacting equimolar amounts of an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid with a diisocyanate at 30-80 deg.C for 3-6hr.
