Focus follow-up device for laser working machine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation of a contactor from a work by providing a contactor punched with a hole in the focal position as a contactor for a detector of a servocontrol mechanism which controls the focus of a laser so as to follow up the surface of the work. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 1 is condensed with a lens 9 and an x-y table 14 carrying a work 13 therein is moved, whereby the work is cut. Even if a focus 1a comes to the end of the work 13, there is a contacted 16 at 360 deg. around the focus 1a and therefore the work 13 is cut without deviation and drop of a nozzle 7 from the work 13. The displacement at which the contactor 16 moves upward or downward in contact with the work 13 is detected with a differential transformer 10, then a lens barrel 4 is moved upward or downward by the operation of a servocontrol motor 3 as a driving body by feedback control, whereby the focus 1a is matched with the surface of the work 13 in a follow-up way.
