Separation membrane for gaseous mixture

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a sepn. membrane which enriches and separates efficiently oxygen by graft-copolymerizing an org. silane deriv. of an unstad. epoxy compd. with poly 4-methyl-1-pentene. CONSTITUTION:The compound unit of an unstad. epoxide compd. is brought into graft copolymerization with poly 4-methyl-1-pentene and an org. silane compd. is brought into reaction with such unsatd. epoxide compd. Glycidyl acrylate or the like which is a monomer having each >=1 polymerizable unstad. bond and epoxy group in a molecule is used as the component unit of the unstad. epoxide compd. and amino-modified silicone oil or the like which is an org. silane compd. having an amino group is used as the org. silane compd. The sepn. membrane for a gaseous mixture having excellent separation performance is obtd. by forming the membrane from the modified poly 4-methyl-1-pentene obtd. in the above-mentioned way.
