Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To perform input confirmation corresponding directy to an original and to facilitate the prevention against and detection of erroneous input by arranging a display device near the platen, etc., of a printer and bringing the movement of a printing part and display contents under the control of a CPU. CONSTITUTION:The display device 8 is installed near the platen 6 of the printer 4. The original 5 is set on the platen 6 firstly and the input/output digit and line pitch of input/output characters are inputted on a keyboard 1 as initial set values. The input information is stored in a corresponding register through the CPU and a cursor line register is reset. Then, the position of a cursor which serves as the display device 8 is initialized; every time a character in the original 5 is inputted, a digit register goes up by one and when one line is inputted and a carriage return key is hit, the line register increases in value by one. Thus, contents corresponding to an input character or line are displayed on the display device 8.
