Process kit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To detach and attach a developing unit without staining a picture formation device body by constituting a process kit so that an image carrier and a process means are enclosed and the developing unit is held detachably. CONSTITUTION:A discharger 3 and a cleaning device 7 are supported in one body by a housing 8 together with a photosensitive drum 2, and the process kit 20 is formed while the developing device 5 is held detachably in the housing 8. This housing 8 is guided and supported by guide rails 91 and 92 fixed to the main body side and attached and detached to and from the main body 1. The housing 8 is provided with a space part wherein the developing device is enclosed, and sliding rails 12a and 12b for holding the developing device 5 detachably are installed in the space part. In this constitution, the process kit 20 receives toner falling from the developing device 5 or the surface of the drum 2 to prevent the toner from falling on the main body 1 directly, so that the main body side 1 is not stained.
