Rectifier circuit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to form a chip by composing of the first switch element inserted between an input terminal and an output terminal and the second switch element connected between the output terminal and a reference voltage source, thereby eliminating the external part. CONSTITUTION:An MOS transistor Q1 is provided between an input terminal 12 and an output terminal 13, an MOS transistor Q4 is provided between a reference voltage generator 10 having transistors Q2, Q3 and the output terminal 13, both transistors Q1, Q4 are controlled by a level detector NOT1, and an inverter NOT2, thereby forming a rectifier for an audio band signal. When an input signal is higher than the threshold voltage of the NOT1, it is transmitted to an output terminal 13, and when lower, the output terminal 13 is set to the reference voltage. Accordingly, since the diode is not used, even if the circuit is formed of MOS production process, the increase in the consumed current due to the parasitic bipolar transistor can be eliminated.
