Ignition device of internal-combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable plural sparks to be continuously generated and the ignition to be surely performed, by connecting two switching elements to the primary coil of an ignition coil and alternately conducting an electric current in each element by the prescribed timing. CONSTITUTION:A DC-DC converter 3 is connected to a DC power supply 1 through a key switch 2, and the DC voltage obtained here is charged in a capacitor 4. The anode of the first thyristor 13 is connected to the + terminal of this capacitor 4, while a resonance capacitor 15 and a trigger signal generator circuit 7, which applies a trigger signal through an insulating pulse transformer 14, are respectively connected to a cathode and a gate of the first thyristor 13. While the second thyristor 20 is connected to the connection point between said thyristor 13 and the resonance capacitor 15, and a cathode of the thyristor 20 is connected to the - terminal of a primary coil 17 of an ignition coil 16, then a gate of said thyristor 20 is connected to said generator circuit 7 which so applies a trigger signal to the gate through a pulse transformer 21.
