Fixation device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a fixation device which has a less toner offset for a long period and feeds paper stably, by allowing a conductive needlelike member to abuts on at least either of the 1st and the 2nd rotating bodies. CONSTITUTION:The fixation device has the 1st and the 2nd rotating bodies such as a heat roll 1 and a pressure roll 2. The conductive needlelike member 8 contacts the surface of the roll 2 near the heat roll 1 to prevent electrostatic charge. The member 8 has a conductive supporter 81 for general use and numbers of flexible needlelike members 82. The members 82 are made of single bodies such as metallic fibers and carbon fibers or conductive fibers formed by mixing or hybridizing single bodies of said kind and the diameter of each fiber is <=100mum. The members 82 are stacked in several bundles in the rotating direction of the roll 2 and abut on the lengthwise entirely of the roll 2. The tip contacts the surface of the roll 2 all the time.
