Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the heat transfer pipe for heat exchanger use, which enables weight-saving and zigzag-bending and at the same time the heat exchange rate of which is made good notwithstanding the number of parts and of parts to be brazed is a few. CONSTITUTION:A thin plate stock 11a with the thickness of 0.5mm. or less is prepared in order to generate knurls 14 on its one surface by knurling. An electric welded pipe 11b is obtained by forming the thin plate stock 11a in tubular form by high frequency seam welding and the pipe 11b is pinchingly pressed so as to be formed in an elliptic pipe 11c. On the other hand, an extremely thin corrugated plate stock 12a, over the whole surface of which brazing material 16 is clad, is plastically worked into a corrugated plate 12 so as to form its crests 17 with fixed heights spaced at fixed intervals. And then, after the corrugated plate 12 is inserted in the elliptic pipe 11c, the elliptic pipe 11c is further pinchingly pressed so as to form a flat pipe main body 11 while pressingly spreading the corrugated plate 12. Finally, the crests 17 and the inner wall of the pipe main body 11 are brazed with each other by flowing the brazing material 16 into joinint parts due to capillarity by heating the heat transfer pipe 13.
