Method and apparatus for controlling fluid pressure cylinder

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain high accuracy for stopping by controlling the speed of a cylinder according to setpoints set corresponding to respective operating positions and presetting the speed at a stop position in such a manner that braking is easy to make. CONSTITUTION:In case of controlling a cylinder 1, the present position Xn of the cylinder 1 is detected by a position detector 8 and a counter 9, and the position information is input to a memory device 4 and an arithmetic unit 10. In the memory device 4, an operating position xn corresponding to the present position Xn is read out from operating position string x, and a target speed vn corresponding to the operating position xn is extracted to be output to a subtractor 12. In the arithmetic unit 10, the present position Xn is differentiated 11 to find the real speed Vn, and a difference in speed between the real speed and the target speed vn is calculated by the subtractor 12. Differential pressure DELTAp corresponding to such a difference in speed is output from a differential pressure generator 13, and according to the differential pressure DELTAp, respective pressure controllers 15a, 15b are controlled through a pressure command unit 14.
